New Llore Base Debut!

May 15, 2022

Earlier this evening the first batch of our new Llore base went live on the shop. It is still 100% US grown lovely and squishable Targhee wool, but unlike the previous base, this has not been superwash treated. Targhee is one of my favorite breeds to spin because of it's amazing elasticity and unbelievable SQUOOSH. So when our supplier discontinued their SW Targhee combed top it really only made sense to pivot to the non-sw treated option. It also adds a great option for our customers who prefer non-superwash wool and opens up more project possibilities if you like to wet felt (or are curious to try!).

Today's update includes a Dr. Pamela Isley inspired colorway appropriately named "Poison Ivy" and two new Elli AUs. I'm busy dyeing more Llore for the CNY Fiber Fest (less than a month away now, woo hoo!) and Tour de Fleece is around the corner too so I'll definitely be prioritizing listing any remaining combed top stock from the show so folxs have time to stock up.

Small side note with more to come on the subject: Team Llady Llama will be back again this Tour de Fleece (hosted over on the Discord server) and we'd love to have you spin along with us! A more official post will be coming with all the details once signups are open.

And I can't resist sharing this photo I captured earlier in the week. Bleeding Hearts are my second favorite flower (after sunflowers) and ours are in full bloom right now and looking so beautiful. Wishing you all a good upcoming week and happy crafting!
